Plans, Billing & Trials
Starter vs Pro, how the trial works, and what happens at renewal, cancellation, or a failed payment.

MimikTrader has two plans — Starter and Pro — both billed monthly or yearly, both starting with a 7-day free trial. This article covers what each plan includes, how the trial and EARLYACCESS promo work, and exactly what happens to your access at renewal, cancellation, or a failed charge.
Starter vs Pro
Both plans give you full trade copying. The difference is scale and the risk/analytics toolset:
- Starter — $29/mo or $261/yr: trade copying with up to 5 broker connections and up to 5 copy groups.
- Pro — $49.99/mo or $450/yr: everything in Starter, plus unlimited broker connections and unlimited copy groups, plus the risk management suite (daily/weekly loss limits, trailing drawdown, auto-flatten) and the trading journal with reports and analytics.
In short: if you need more than 5 connections or 5 groups, or you want automated risk protection and journal/reporting tools, you need Pro. If you're running a small, manual setup and don't need risk automation or analytics, Starter covers trade copying on its own.
The 7-Day Free Trial
Every new subscription starts with a 7-day free trial on either plan. A card is required upfront to start the trial — you won't be charged until the trial ends, but the card has to be on file first.
MimikTrader allows one trial per card. If you've already used a free trial on a card, starting a new account with the same card will not grant a second free trial period.
What Happens When the Trial Ends
When your 7-day trial ends, the card on file is charged automatically for the plan you signed up for. If that charge succeeds, your subscription continues without any action from you. If the charge fails, your access locks until you update your payment method and the charge goes through.
EARLYACCESS Promo
Entering the code EARLYACCESS at signup gives you 4 weeks free instead of the standard 7-day trial. If you cancel before the free period ends, you are not billed.
Cancelling Your Subscription
You manage billing from the Billing page in your dashboard, which opens Stripe's secure billing portal. Cancelling there does not cut your access off immediately — you keep full access through the end of the period you already paid for. Once that period ends, your subscription moves to canceled and sign-in to the trading features locks until you resubscribe.
If you cancel a downgrade or cancellation before it takes effect, there's a "Keep Pro" option in the billing portal that lets you reverse a scheduled change before your current period ends.
Managing Your Billing
All billing actions — updating your card, switching between monthly and yearly, upgrading or downgrading between Starter and Pro, viewing past invoices, and cancelling — happen through the Billing page in your dashboard, which hands off to Stripe's secure customer portal. MimikTrader never stores your card details directly.
